Neal Newman was a critic for SHOW BUSINESS Magazine in New York for 7 years, and has reviewed for many local websites and newspapers including LONDON STAGES, and the late much missed DC-METRO. Over the past 40 years, Neal has directed extensively in classical, Shakespeare, and modern plays, as well as musicals and opera. He trained as a modern actor at California State University and as a classical actor at ACT of San Francisco. He studied directing at Carnegie Mellon University and and the Guthrie Theater. He directed many off and off-off Broadway productions in New York, ran a New Hampshire summer stock company, and five seasons of Shakespeare in the Park in Philadelphia. He has written many songs, music for plays and GOLDILOCKS AND THE DOWN HOME BEARS. He is currently searching for a local theater to present the musical LITTLE PRINCESS.
